WMH Officials EOI 2026

A Message from the WMH Officiating Committee
The World Masters Hockey (WMH) Officiating Committee is delighted to provide members and officials with an update on the tremendous global response received for officiating roles at the upcoming 2026 WMH World Cups.

The level of enthusiasm and engagement from our community has been nothing short of extraordinary, a true reflection of the passion, commitment, and spirit that define World Masters
Hockey.

An Incredible Response from Around the Globe
Since opening the Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2026 tournaments, we have been overwhelmed by the number of submissions from umpires and technical officials worldwide.
Here’s a quick reminder of the 2026 WMH World Cup events and their scheduled dates:

Rotterdam, Netherlands 22 July - 01 August

Brasschaat, Belgium 6 – 16 August

Breda, Netherlands 6 – 16 August

To date, we have received an outstanding number of EOIs:
● 143 EOIs for Rotterdam
● 76 EOIs for Brasschaat
● 41 EOIs for Breda
This phenomenal global response demonstrates the strength and unity of our international officiating community. We are sincerely grateful to every individual who has shown interest in supporting these prestigious events and in contributing to the values that WMH stands for.

Umpire Selection and Opportunities
For the Rotterdam World Cup, we anticipate appointing between 75 and 80 umpires. Naturally, this means not every applicant will be selected, so we encourage officials to consider applying for multiple tournaments. Doing so will increase the chance of participation and allow more umpires to experience the excitement and camaraderie of WMH World Cups.
Additionally, those interested in stepping into Umpire Management roles are encouraged to submit their EOIs as soon as possible. These positions are vital to the success of our tournaments and provide an excellent opportunity for development and leadership within the WMH community.

Technical Officials: Training and Development
Opportunities
On the Technical side, we are pleased to share that there are opportunities available at all three tournaments.
While we’ve already received a strong response, WMH remains committed to developing and nurturing technical officials through both pre-tournament and on-site training programs.
We encourage anyone interested, whether new or experienced, to give it a go. This is a wonderful chance to grow your skills, meet fellow officials from around the world, and be part of a truly global hockey celebration.

If you have questions or wish to learn more about technical opportunities, please don’t hesitate to contact:
