WMH 2027 Continental Championship update
Dear members,
As was stated in previous messages to you and on the WMH website, the arrangements for the 2027 Continental Championship dates were subject to contract negotiations.
WMH was pressured to release dates/venues/age groups, and we did so to the best of our ability. However, two minor but not insignificant changes have already been made:
European Championships
June 10 – 18 Valencia (Spain)
O60 Men (National and SoM teams); O60 & O70 Women (National and SoM teams). This Tournament was scheduled to be held in Valencia, Spain from June 11 – 19. Please note, this Tournament will continue to be held in Valencia but will commence on June 10 and end on June 18. All teams will be required to be in Valencia by June 10 at the latest as some matches may need to be held that day. Stick, equipment, ID checks and the Opening Ceremony will also be on June 10.
Asian Championships
Nov 1 - 7 Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
Please note that there has been one change (already noted on the WMH website) regarding the oldest category for men. It will be O60 (and not O65 as originally announced). All other age categories remain unchanged. O35 - O40 (women) and O35 - O45 - O55 - O60 (men). National and Spirit of Masters teams.
It is possible that there will be a further change coming soon. WMH is still negotiating the dates for the Southern Hemisphere Tournament in Mendoza, Argentina. As soon as we have confirmed the dates, we will let you know.
In the near future, we will also be sharing details re how to register teams for the tournaments, payment details and firm deadlines. Please note, this process may differ from previous years so watch closely for upcoming emails.
