Dear WMH Members,
WMH is pleased to announce the creation of a new Brand Ambassador role, designed to strengthen engagement with the Masters Hockey community.
The role will play an important part in ensuring the community remains central to the strategic development of WMH. Its focus will be on positive engagement, listening to participants across the game, identifying common themes and feedback, and presenting these insights to the WMH Executive Board.

WMH is delighted to confirm that Glenn will become the organisation's first Brand Ambassador. After many years serving as President and playing an instrumental role in the development and growth of World Masters Hockey, Glenn Paton will step down from the Presidency following the conclusion of the World Cup on 17 August 2026.
Following the resignation as President on 17 August 2026, the interim governance arrangement has been established where no replacement President shall be appointed until the next duly constituted General Meeting.
During the interim period, the Executive Board shall collectively assume the duties and responsibilities ordinarily carried out by the President and the role of chair of the Executive Board meetings shall rotate amongst the Directors.
To ensure a smooth transition, a Brand Ambassador Memorandum of Understanding, including a Position Description, has been developed and has been signed by Glenn and the continuing Executive Board members on 13th May 2026. A press release will be distributed shortly.
Sonya Fisher and Norman Same have been appointed by WMH as liaisons to help facilitate meaningful dialogue with FIH.
