World Masters Hockey (WMH) Ltd. is the exclusive Masters Hockey organisation, recognised by the FIH (the world governing body for hockey) as having sole responsibility for organising and managing official Masters Hockey tournaments globally. WMH is an evolution of the former International Masters Hockey (IMHA) and World Grand Masters (WGMA) Associations.
The WMH was created following a request from FIH for the existing IMHA and WGMA to unify into a single Masters Hockey entity in 2012. FIH is of the view that the unification enhances the hockey brand strategically and commercially and simplifies the passage through the 3 natural stages of progression from Junior, through Senior, to Masters.
To inspire and support enjoyment and participation for all in Masters Hockey.
To create a world where hockey can be a lifelong sport for all.
Objectives – to:
deliver great international events
increase the global visibility of Masters Hockey
enhance and grow the technical resources
provide good governance and financial stability
